Following eleven years in executive search business working with a wide range of financial services firms, Irina Shenkman established PureRisk Recruiting with the idea of applying in-depth knowledge of risk management and a strong recruitment track record to provide efficient and focused recruitment solutions.
Irina Shenkman started her career as an Operations Manager for an asset management company in the mid 90s, before moving into executive search in 2000. Irina worked as an executive recruiter in the financial institutions practice of Ward Howell, a leading global executive search company, in Moscow and New York, where she successfully placed a number of senior investment bankers, salesmen and traders into Russian and international banks and private equity firms.
Later on, she was recruited by the Admissions Office of Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. At Tuck, as a key member of the Admissions Committee, Irina evaluated, selected and recruited a diverse class for a top MBA program.
For the last six years Irina was a Director of Recruiting at Risk Talent Associates where she focused on placing middle and senior level risk managers in the UK, USA and Canada. Irina filled several dozen high profile searches in the risk management field including Director of Credit Risk, Head of Market Risk, Chief Risk Officer, Head of Compliance, Vice President of Credit Risk Modeling, Principal Consultant and Head of Risk Management for clients such as The Bank of Montreal, Protiviti, BP, MoodysKMV, The Federal Home Loan Banks, and HSBC, to name a few.
